House and more

So, I got to work yesterday to discover that, not only had they set it up to block myspace.com, they were also blocking all internet e-mail accounts.  This means that I didn't get the e-mail that Alicia sent me until after I got home last night at 11:45.  Alicia has proposed that the seller take care of fixing the chipped paint.  I e-mailed her back and said that if it weren't a big area and the seller wouldn't do it, that I do it.  Called her this morning to let her know that I'd e-mailed her and she was getting ready to e-mail me back.  She'd not heard back from the listing agent yet as to whether or not the seller would take care of the painting.  Jackie is supposed to be sending a complete report from the appraisal to Jackie today, or at least that's what Alicia said.  Also, mentioned the possibility of putting closing off until the first of February as that would put my first house payment on the first of April.  The less time that I have to spend paying van payment and house payment at the same time, the better.  Really don't want to have to cash in my Wal-mart stock to pay off the van early.

This being the weekend, I don't have to worry about customer service calls, Yay.  So, I'm painting more Hordes figs.

Thanks to those who offered suggestions on reading materials.  I'll be looking those up soon.  Did pick up a copy of Bullfinch's Mythology in hardback from the used bookstore.  Been wanting a copy of that for a while.  Need to pick up some more Campbell and read that as well.  I've gotten bored with the book I'm currently reading, S.M. Stirling's "The Protector's War".

Well, off to work on other things while waiting for calls to come in.
