Guys, can I get your opinions?

Was giving Adkins a back rub  Saturday night when he said he couldn't figure out why I was so good to him.  I told him I could sum it up in 3 little words, but knew he didn't want to hear that right now.  He said he knew, but that, due to bad choices he'd made in the past he was leery of making commitments.  I reiterated that I was not asking him for any commitments and he said he knew and the conversation dropped.

The guys here at work say this means that Adkins has been thinking about the whole commitment issue and that my not putting any pressure on him to commit makes him think about it that much more.  Do you guys agree?  What are you're thoughts on this matter?  The guys here also seem to think that if he does decide to make a commitment that it will be a strong one.  Agree?  Disagree?  Your insight on this is appreciated.
