So, Alicia, the realtor, told me she had e-mailed Jackie, the mortage agent on Sunday.  She said she had called and left messages twice on Monday and sent another e-mail and left another message on Tuesday.  Jackie had never gotten back in touch with her.  Finally, I called Jackie's office yesterday.  About an hour later, I got a call back from Jackie.  According to her, everyone was telling her that I had been trying to call her for the past several days.  What we were trying to find out was what else needed to be fixed before the appraisal of the property took place.  My understanding was that I was to get the home inspection to determine what needed to be fixed on the house before the appraisal took place that would tell me whether I would get the loan or not.  From talking to Jackie yesterday, that's not true.  According to her, the home inspection is for my benefit so that I will know what's wrong with the house when I move in.  The appraisal, which is not as in-depth as the home inspection, is to see what will need to be fixed so the loan will be approved and to determine whether the house is worth the amount of the loan or not.  Talked to Alicia after talking to Jackie and Alicia was trying to tell me that my initial understanding was correct.  I like Alicia, but I've come to realize that she's not as competent on some of this as she thinks she is.  I've been really frustrated with this and it appears that part of it is due to her misunderstandings of how this process works.  Going to do as much dealing directly with Jackie as possible now so that I know exactly what needs to be done.  Waiting on a call from Alicia to let me know when the updated paperwork is ready to be signed.

Did 4 hrs overtime on Tuesday, my day off, for Customer service.  Did not do any yesterday, as I needed the day for laundry and drove up to  Sci Fi City to pick up some stuff that was being held for me.  Watched some TV with L&K last night and then got a call from [personal profile] katfireblade.  We talked for well over an hour and it was one of the highlights of my day.  I was worried that she'd get out there, not be able to find a job and wind up stuck with no place to stay and no way to get home.  It's nice to know that she's doing well.  I'm proud of her.  Sounds like she's really turning her life around and that's a very good thing :)  *hugs for the Kat*

Today, I'm in a general malaise.  Requested that I be taken out of the customer service queue.  Still got a little frustration carry-over from yesterday and I'm afraid that if I get an ill-tempered customer I'll try to rip their head off over the phone.  That wouldn't be good.  Doesn't help that I didn't sleep well last night.  And even before getting to work, I'm shaking as if I've had an extra large cup of regular coffee.  Thing is, I've not had anything with caffiene in it at all until I got to work and what I've got doesn't have enough to normally affect me...sigh...  Wish I could just go home and sleep in a really dark room.

As for the request, I have a lot of friends who are into Wicca/Paganism.  I've been around when they've talked about the religion, but don't really know enough about it to carry on an educated conversation.  I know that there are some people out there who write about the topic knowledgibly and others who are full of crap.  I'm looking for recommended reading on the subject.  Books on the history, mythologies on which they are based, information about archeoligical evidence that supports these religions, writings about the shamanic/druidic traditions that can be seen as scholarly as well as practical would be nice.  If there are authors/books that you find particularly good, please let me know.  If there are authors/books that I should avoid like the plague, let me know about those as well.  All input on this will be appreciated :)  Thanks.

Have seen this on a couple of other friends journals. Thought it might be amusing to see what result I got. Turns out that my answers leaned also toward loyal friend, with a couple for traitor and weirdo guy in the swamp.

What Fantasy Archetype Are you?

The Unlikely Hero
You are the Unlikely Hero! Others like you are Frodo (Lord of The Rings), Young Aurthur (arthurian Legend), Luke Skywalker (Star Wars), Peter/Susan/Edmund/Lucy (Narnia), Richard Mayhew (Neverwhere), Harry Potter (Harry Potter) and Richard Cypher (Wizard's first Rule). You were happy to just live out your life as a peaceful schoolboy/farmer/wood's guide. But alas, greatness was thrust upon you. Don't let the hordes of The Totally Wicked Villain get you down, you have your Seasoned Veteran Friend to protect you and you almost always end up with the Pillar-of-Strength Love interest. Heed you Mentor well and keep your chin up, hero! You are simple, humble and kind but possess great potential for truly inspirational heroism, bravery and strength in dark times.
