A little happiness :)
Mar. 8th, 2005 08:19 amYeah! I finally uploaded a couple of new icons :) Actually thinking of going to a paid account with LJ, but not sure yet.
Yesterday was a hell day at work. Too much needing to get done, then an emergency pc replacement thrown in on top of that added up to not such a good day.
Happiness came on arriving home :) My brother and his wife had gotten aikidragon and myself a gift certificate for Amazon.com for Christmas. We finally got around to using it last week. aikidragon replaced his stolen Pink Floyd Pulse CD's while I finally purchased my own copy of Brotherhood of the Wolf on DVD. Both arrived in the mail last night. I've been hankering to watch Brotherhood for a while now, so the first thing I did was pop it in the DVD player and uncerimoniously let aikidragon know when he got home a few minutes later that we were going to sit down and watch that for the evening. The movie was great, as usual. I really like this movie, the costumes are spectacular, the cinematography is beautiful, the music is intriguing. The French can make some very interesting movies :)
After the movie, aikidragon swapped over to catch Monday Night Raw. All-in-all, it was a rather nice, relaxing evening :)
Now, this morning, that was another story. Woke up at 5:00 a.m. to the sounds of torrential rain and gusting winds buckling the sides of the trailer. A few minutes later, it blew open the back door. About 6:00 a.m. the rain stopped and the wind settled down. When I left the house at 6:45, there was a light coating of snow on the car. Talk about confused weather! One car I passed on the interstate actually had 2 inches of snow on it. Wondering where they were coming from :)
Well, here's to seeing how screwed up this day will be.
