Well, things haven't been so bad the past couple of weeks. Work hasn't been the greatest, but that's understandable. Mike, the guy I work with, and his wife Danielle had their baby Feb. 20th, which meant that Mike didn't make it into work 4 days last week and 2 days this week. Most of it was planned and I didn't mind since I had some help here now that they've got Ken from the Maintenance crew helping us out some. Problem was, I got sinus infection that weekend, aikidragon got sick that week with whatever had been going around where he works and Ken got sick. I knew Mike would be out for at least three days, so I wouldn't be able to take any time off. Then, the work order list just exploded. Some of it was trivial stuff and didn't take much time, other items were a bitch though.

This week has been better. Gaming Saturday with the Geek Patrol was great. We had several new people and they seemed to fit in well. Tuesday was my first annual performance review at work. It went splendidly and I got a 3.3% raise and was told that if things continued to go well in our department and they were able to get more money out of the contract next year that I'd be promoted to Field Service Tech 2 next year. That's a big IF with no promises attached. I'm not holding my breath. Wednesday, aikidragon got a promotion and small raise. Yay!

Also, got to eat dinner Wednesday with shdwkitten which was great. For the first time in my life I'm actually starting to get some good female friends. Talked to another friend, Teresa, later that night and we're going to try to get together this weekend sometime.

nachtwulf cancelled the Guardians game for Saturday the 12th. In a way I'm kinda sad because I love the game and can really get into the characters, yet I'm also joyful about it because now I can go to another event I wanted to attend. That same day is the Carolina Wenches "Stitch'n'Bitch" at silverstah's house in Raliegh. I wanted to go since it was first mentioned, but when they changed the date to the 12th and I'd already committed to attending the game sessions I was torn. Now I don't have to miss the S'n'B, nor will I be missing the game. Yay! Now, to figure out which of my myriad of sewing projects to take to the S'n'B :D
