Just catching up...
Oct. 4th, 2009 10:55 pmSo, got several things going on. Not sure I mentioned to you guys or not, but my grandfather and my aunt on my side of the family both had breast cancer. It killed my grandfather. My aunt's was caught and they were able to remove it, but not before it turned into bone cancer which is what ultimately killed her. The past couple of weeks, I've been to the local breast center for mammograms and ultrasounds. Mon. the 12th I'll be going in for biopsy. I'm not overly worried about it. My mom has fluidic cysts, so we believe that's probably what it is since it's something that cannot be felt. In the meantime, I've signed up to be part of Team Temple for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. Looking for sponsors, so anyone wanna help out? I've signed up for the 5k Run/Walk. Will get a link up for it as soon as I can if you want 
Been extremely tired lately. Not sure what's going on. The tests that were run from my physical a couple of weeks ago found nothing more than low levels of Calcium and Vitamin D3. Taking suppliments, but can't tell if it's making a difference.
Pulled my shoulder during my workout with my trainer this past Wed. It's been a problem, but slowly getting better.
In better news, my self-image has gotten a boost as of late. A couple of the friends I've made at Temple have said things the have made me feel like guys may honestly find me attractive, which is definitely a change for me.
They've only got 8 more people on our desk at work to bring on full-time. The last two groups have had 4 people each from our desk. So, I should be full-time with SAIC in about 12 wks. I've heard that once we're all on board with SAIC and no longer temps that we'll get raises. Looking forward to that
In the meantime, hoping the insurance I currently have actually covers most of the testing I'm having done now.
Oh, and in case you guys haven't heard it before, I just heard a song last week for the first time and found it amusing. If you haven't heard it yet, you should check out The Dresden Dolls, especially their song "Coin Operated Boy." Hearing the song alone is one thing, seeing the video gives it a whole different twist. Love this song. Need to check out more of their music Oh, and the DJ's at Temple have done some really screwy mixes
