Ah, the joys of unemployment.  Went to do my weekly certification and it tells me that I have to go by the office tomorrow because one of my answers from last week means I may not be eligible for unemployment anymore.  The only thing I answered different than usual?  They have one questions that asks if you entered or left training that week.  Since my Network+ class ended that week, I answered yes.  Guess I get to go in early tomorrow and try to find out what the hell is the problem this time.

After spending half an hour on hold, I spent another half an hour getting the guy I spoke with at the unemployment call center to understand what was going on and get it straightened out.  This excess of time out of my morning meant that I didn't get to put that pot of soup I on was planning to make, so there was no dinner ready when I got home.  It also meant that I started my first day of my CCNA class late.  On the good side, it did get worked out and I should get my pay for last week as well as the week they still owe me for and Adkins was here when I got home and took me out to eat dinner at Shoney's before he headed off for class.

Yesterday, I spent time sewing.  I made a unitard a week or so ago out of black spandex.  Seriously, I hate how Kwik Sew designed the crotch on that piece.  Trying to figure out a way to  change it on the next one.  Yesterday was more adventures in spandex as I made myself a pair of bike shorts using a Burda pattern.  I'm not sure how either of these companies determine what measurements are supposed to go with which sizes, but neither patterns measurements-to-size work for me.  On the unitard, Kwik Sews measurements said I would be an extra large in the hips and a small in the bust.  It worked out more like a small, but with a longer torso all the way around.  According to Burda, based on my measurements the shorts should have been made on a size 20.  I cut them out using the size 12 and once I had them complete and tried them on decided the next pair will be a size 10.

Spring here is beautiful.  I have dark pink dogwoods in my front yard and white dogwoods and some kind of flowering fruit tree in my back yard.  There are even flowers in the back flower bed, tulips, daffodils and an iris or two.

For those waiting for Iron Man, here's a sneak peek I was pointed to thanks to  Sci Fi Weekly:  2 minute sneak peak
