News on a good front:
Was contacted yesterday about teaching and Excel II class next Thursday.  This morning, was asked to also teach the Excel I class on Tuesday and was just contacted a few minutes ago about possibly teaching a Windows XP I class that would meet each of those evenings.  That will be 21 hrs of work for one week.  That will be one nice tidy paycheck when I get it at the end of April...  On the bad side, I didn't do the timesheet correctly for the last class I taught, so won't get paid for it until the next payday, at the end of April.  Makes that paycheck even nicer, but doesn't help me out now when I need it...

In other news, decided to let my parents pay for the other half of my Network + and CCNA classes.  Could go with the Sally May loans, but they assume you will have a job and be able to start making regular payments as soon as the class is over.  Since there is no guarantee that I will have a job by the time I finish, I can't guarantee that I'd be able to make the monthly payments.  But going through Workforce Initiative to get their assistance with paying for these classes is like trying to walk through a swimming pool full of peanut butter.  Apparently, you have to fill out paperwork to see get qualified and see if they will help in the first place, then you have to come in waste another half day to actually fill out more paperwork to actually get the assistance.  Seems like I'll be doing the same paperwork twice.  I think they actually do it this way to discourage people from trying to use their service.  I also think that the guy that I'm having to deal with in WIA is full of shit and is a very poor liar.  Turns out that they'll cover half the cost of each class, they'll cover the cost of the exams, but no assistance with gas.
