So, we got more news on our job situation this morning. Turns out that the UK office knew back in October that our office here in the US would be shut down at the end of February, but they weren't allowed to tell us. Not only that, but the people in the UK office are starting to look for work too. The business as a whole will be shut down by the end of the year.
In better news, there is a job with the Center for Teaching Arts and Technology (CTAT) at Roane State for which they're still accepting applications. For those who don't know, I used to work at Roane State. One of the deans of the college told me that the next time I put in for a job there to let him know and that he'd make sure that my application was considered. E-mailed him this afternoon and sent in my application via fax. Even dropped a copy of the resume into campus mail for the dean. Based on an e-mail I just got from him, looks like CTAT may have a new department head. When I worked there before the people in CTAT seemed to look down their noses at those of us who worked in Networking and Technical Support. Hopefully, that has changed. Here's hoping I get the job :)
