Swimming yesterday seriously kicked my ass. My ribs were a little sore already and pulled a little while doing laps. The new goggles have left bruises under my eyes. Luckily, they don't show. The silicon nose clip did nothing but slide off my nose making it utterly useless. During my last 4 laps, a large muscle deep in the back of my right thigh started to cramp a little. No idea how many laps total I swam yesterday. With the new goggles and trying to swim with my face in the water I was concentrating on other that instead of lap counts. When I got out of the pool, I hit the hot tub for 5 minutes and let one of the jets beat on the muscle in the back of my thigh for part of that time. In the shower, had a hard time lifting my arms to actually wash my hair because it hurt. Didn't think much about it when I went to bed last night. This morning, discovered the bruising around the eyes, my ribs actually ached when I first got out of bed (doing better now), arms are a little sore still and the muscle down the back of my right thigh actually feels seriously bruised. Swimming laps = definite full body workout!!! Going back to the swim shop this weekend. It might look a little goofy, but I'm going to pick up the goggles that actually cover the nose.
