The past week, so to speak...

Tuesday, drove home for lunch and noticed that my battery light had come on, so drove the van back to work.  Wednesday morning, got in the van and the driver side air bag light stayed on during the drive to work.  Luckily, work rents me a car to drive to Lexington.  Got there and my temps weren't there.  Also, discovered that somewhere along the way I'd dropped my phone or left it at home.  First temp finally showed at 2:00 and the second, who was someone called in at the last minute got there at 3:30.  We worked until 5:30.  Thursday, we were back at 9:00.  The second temp was nice enough, but spoke almost in whisper all the time and was very sloppy when reboxing the units.  That evening, did my workout, showered and went to get a book before going to eat.  Couldn't find the books I was looking for, so settled for Orson Scott Card's Enders Game.  Had Applebee's for dinner, went back to the room and kept reading.  Friday, it took us until 12:30 to get 80 units boxed and it was 1:00 by the time I left Elan.  Evening was spent working on the mock-up for the commission piece as the boning had arrived that afternoon.  Saturday was a lazy day and I didn't go for my workout until almost 4:00, then came home and had leftovers for dinner.  Sunday, took the car in to Autozone to have them check to see if it was the battery or the alternator.  Battery failed, so bought a new battery.  Dad had to come help me replace it because I didn't have the right tools and was confused on how the battery was to come out of the car.  We replaced the battery and the light was still coming on.  So, we jumped into my car and took the old battery to Autozone for retesting.  They had to charge the battery so it could be tested and while that was going on, we went out and tested the alternator, and it was bad.  Came back in and tested the old battery, it was shot too.  All told, about $150 to fix my car.  I fixed pizza for me and my dad and then he went home.  So, no Sci Fi City for me this past weekend.  Oh, finished Enders Game while I was waiting for my dad to get there.  And finished all on the mock-up except attaching the hooks/eyes to it.  Will do that tonight and send it to the client tomorrow morning :)
