Friday was pretty much a lazy evening spent mostly at home.  We did make a trip to the used book store for Dave to sell some books and we picked up a few things as well.  He left around 11:00 because his mom had work for him to do the next morning.

Saturday, we met at Sci Fi City because they were having a Warmachine tournament.  Only four of us showed for the tourney.  Two of us were using armies we'd not used before.  Eric the new won the tourney, Dave came in second, Brett third and I came in where I expected to come in, last.  I played Eric first and we had a really good game.  Brett was my second opponent and for once he didn't drive me completely bonkers.  We finished up pretty quickly.  Top of the third turn he got a lucky dice roll for damage and killed my Warcaster.  Last game was against Dave and went pretty well.  I scored 6 Victory Points for the whole tourney and got all 6 of them from Dave :)  Afterwards, we took our minis back to our cars and went to see Hot Fuzz.  Definitely a funny movie and well worth the money.  While we were playing the tourney, Dave's mom called and complained that a couple of the pictures she'd had him hang that morning weren't hung right.  So, Dave went back to his mom's and had mentioned going to the gun show on Sunday.

Sunday, got up, got ready to go and started working on models for Wonderfest.  About 1:00, Dave finally called about going up to Sci Fi City.  Confused, I asked what had happened to the gun show idea.  Since we're both short on cash at the moment, he decided it wasn't really a good idea because we'd both want stuff and not be able to get it.  I decided to stay home instead of making another trip to Knoxville.  Dave headed to SFC and got two miles down the interstate and got a flat tire.  He took that as a sign that he should stay home and after getting home stayed there until his mom sent him for bottled water.  He called a fourth time later that night to tell me about some info on the new Pirates for Warmachine.  I spent most of the day working on models.  Used Dave's dremel to clean up some of the putty where I'd done fill-in work, then finished it off with my jewelers files.  Resprayed the base coats and started painting the vinyl Cyclops (X-men).  Doing it in the Ultimates series colors of black and yellow instead of the old blue and yellow.  Got quite a bit done on it last night.  Should have it finished up in another day or two.  That is, all except for the base.  Going to have to mount it on something and create a base for it.  The plastic Wolverine kit will be done next, then finishing up on Lyra (resin kit from Solar Winds) and if I have time, my Great Gargant from Armour Cast will get finished.

Not much else going on.  The plan for tonight:  Mow the yard, watch Heroes and paint.  Exciting life, hunh...
