Tripping the weekend...
Apr. 16th, 2007 12:36 pmDrove over to Asheville Friday evening, leaving Fancy at home with Adkins to babysit. They got along okay once she came out of her cage Friday night.
Met up with emrys_nc and shdwkitten at The Sword and the Grail. Emrys tried on the shirt I'd made for him and they seemed pleased with it. aikidragon was there with some other friends of ours, so I went back and visited with them as well. Shdwkitten and Emrys hadn't eaten yet, so we went to get some dinner at IHOP. Since Aiki had brought some of the stuff I'd left at his place, I got my stuff from him before driving over to IHOP. When I got there, E&S weren't there yet, so gave them a call. Turns out that Shdwkitten's tire appears to have a leak, so they headed home so they wouldn't get stuck in Asheville. Since I'd already gotten a table, I went ahead and got something to eat then headed over to thelovelylass's place. We stayed up until 1:30 chatting and it was nice.
I woke up early Saturday and got ready to go before anyone else in the house stirred. We ate breakfast, then I followed the lass to the shop where she works so I could look around. They kept one of my chemises to see if they could either sell it or take orders for more of them. Headed home around 1:00 and arrived around 3:15 after stopping to get gas. Adkins was there and showed me a couple of models he'd worked on for Wonderfest. Will post pics when I have them. That evening, we went to see Pathfinder. It was spectacular, but it was good. Back at home again, we watched Hi Fidelity and another movie who's title and plot escape me at the moment.
Sunday, got up late and lazed around the house. Adkins left late in the afternoon to go home and work on some more models. I worked with a few of mine as well. Discovered when I headed to bed that Dave had tried to call me... 6 times... Seems I forgot to turn the ringer on my phone back on after going to see Pathfinder. Left him a message this morning. Hope to hear from him later today.
