Lexington saga continues...
Mar. 9th, 2007 12:16 pmOkay, now we're booked to stay in the Holiday Inn Lexington North.
Not sure what hours we'll be working, but we're going to meet here at 9:00 Monday morning and drive up then. Still trying to figure out why all the map websites have us driving way north of the ELAN plant on the bypass, then backtracking to it when there is another road we can take from the bypass further south and get an almost straight shot to the plant...sigh... Why is it that I can always find a more efficient path than you are given by these silly map programs?
Anyway, Jim went and bought equipment to take with us yesterday. KVM switches are our friends, but not sure he realized the switches he bought were PS2. He did know they were passive for power. Will be interesting to see how they work with the sound servers, esp. since the sound servers use USB keyboards.
In other news, working on repairs now. These boxes were sent to us from another plant. I find it funny that these boxes were sent back as DOA, never used. One had just over 50 CD's written to it's hard drive, one had a rather scratched up case and another that was marked as a 160 Gb system, but had a dead 80 Gb drive in it. Can we say something ain't right? Really wish we could call them on this.
Well, back to work.
