Real Update, of sorts...
Apr. 9th, 2006 01:06 pmGuess I should make a real update for once :)
Life is stressful. We know this because the interviews we were told would happen last week were postponed until this week. Not only that, neither Mike nor I have been told when our interviews will take place.
Last night was the final performance for "Sordid Lives". We had two performances yesterday, one at 2:30 and another at 8:00. Between shows, Nick,
guardsman_aegis and I went across the street to Magnolia's to eat. Discovered that sitting in the fancy part of the restaurant had a different menu than the bar, and it's a lot more expensive. Changed seating to the bar area and got $6.00 burgers. Burgers were delicious and the fries were the best I've found in Asheville. Strike for the play went rather quickly, and the cast party didn't seem to last very long either. Got home around 1:15 a.m. and was in bed by 1:30.
Up this morning at 8:00 and out of the house at 9 to be at work by 10:00. It's nice to know people read their e-mails. Calls went all over the place this morning when we took down the AS400. An e-mail was sent out on Friday to let everyone know it would be going down for about an hour, yet we got helpdesk calls about it because people didn't read their e-mails.
Finishing up a couple of systems and getting a few more started. Using a few hours of comp time today so I can go home early. Need to get some stuff done at the house and then get to bed early. Between the stress and the hail storms of the past week, sleep has been a fleeting thing.
Plans for the coming weekend include a trip to TN to visit the 'rents and deliver belated b-day presents to my niece, then work on Easter Sunday. Joy. Can you tell how thrilled I am (drips sarcasm).
Well, off to finish some of what I came in to do today.
