Update, quick and dirty...
Mar. 31st, 2006 10:29 amWork:
Burnt popcorn set of the fire alarm Saturday allowing a broken alarm in our software room to be found. Due to this, we're no longer allowed to have a microwave in our office. Nevermind that it wasn't the burnt popcorn that broke the alarm... Also, no idea when we'll be having interviews next week.
Outside work:
Dropped all classes until I know if I have the job. Would rather do it now instead of dragging out the inevitable.
Working with
guardsman_aegis on a play that will be performing at ACT this weekend and next. Helped with load-in and working set crew. May be running follow-spot for one or two performances. Load-in, setup and first tech rehearsal took longer than expected. With one 10 minute stop after leaving the theatre, it was 12:30 when I got home and 1:00 am when I got to bed. Alarm at 6:00 am and my head was spinning like a top. Called into work and went back to sleep. Had the makings of a headached resting in the back of my skull for most of the day. Finished set dressing just before the first last tech rehearsal last night. If anyone is interested in coming to see it, here's the info:
When: 8 p.m. March 31-April 1, 7-8 and 2:30 p.m. April 2, 8
Where: Asheville Community Theatre, 35 E. Walnut St
How much: $22, general admission
To order: 254-1320
Advisory: contains mature themes and colorful language.
Not much else going on. Not very pleased with work, liking getting back into theatre, especially since I'm getting paid for it :) Did find out that the one musical I was seriously looking at auditioning for at HART was dropped and replaced with "The Full Monty". Now considering auditioning for "My Fair Lady" and maybe "Orpheus Descending". We'll see.
