Latest Job Update
Mar. 23rd, 2006 08:07 amWell, got more info yesterday and this morning. Apparently, the Eaton jobs website is not considered a public posting. They're going to make a public posting of the jobs next week. The first week of April they'll do interviews and the 2nd week they'll make the decision and job offer. Several people have already put in for our positions. I got my entry in on Tuesday.
So, no bellydance or sword and shield classes until the end of April if I get the job. I'd rather give them up now with the hopes of getting back into them after April than to drag out the inevitable if I don't get the job. Everyone around here seems to think we're shoe-ins for the job, but I've learned not to count on that. Had it happen one too many times that I or someone else counted on me getting a job and it didn't happen. Wanna know the main story on this one? Ask me about getting screwed out of Grad school sometime.

amberblue's skirts. Picking up the remainder of the trim after work today. Once I get that on, all the skirts will be done except for their hems. Want to put them on amber and mark them so I can get the hems right. Will be starting the mock-up of the corset this weekend.
Didn't sleep worth a damn last night. Woke up at 2:00 toaikidragon snoring in my ear. Couldn't get comfortable, tossed and turned, and everytime I got close to falling asleep again aiki started snoring in my ear again. I'd nudge him and he'd move or stop snoring for bit, but it always came back. Next time, I'm taking my pillow and going to the couch...sigh...
Not much else going on at the moment. Talked to a friend named Teresa the other night. We'll be getting together tomorrow evening to chat costumes and eat dinner. We get to see each other once about every two to three months, so I like making time for these visits. On the phone, we got to talking about Project Runway. When watching the show, it makes me think "That could have been me if I'd gotten the encouragement I should have from my parents when I wanted to design stuff." Teresa asked if I'd thought about going back to school for fashion design. I hadn't really considered it, but might start looking into the possibility, but I doubt it'll get anywhere. Like so many other things I'd like to do...sigh...
