More info on the Hafla!

Okay, got this info in e-mail from Baraka Mundi over the weekend:

Saturday, December 10...At the Future of Tradition...the Hafla returns!
We haven't had a 'hafla', a middle eastern live music & dance party, since early 2004. With recent studio renovations and the BLUE MOON DANCE COMPANY coming to town to teach a workshop at the studio that day, we decided to throw a community party. It is time to celebrate the great year we have had!

Expect performances by world musicians and gypsy dancers from far parts such as Knoxville, Columbia and Raleigh, along with swashbuckling swordfights, great vending, raffles, and door prizes.

In addition to all this, we have added Kay Campbell's mouth-watering Middle Eastern cuisine to our usual hafla offerings. Food will be something like $5 a plate and all profits go to support Baraka Mundi's upcoming projects. BYOB.
Just $8 at the door, starts at 8pm and goes to 11. All ages welcome.

Work today has had it's moments. I'm kinda blah about it. Don't really want to be here. Luckily, I can leave around 4:30 today instead of having to work until 8. Yay! Going to go home and make myself a new Ghawazee Coat. Got the loveliest woven suede at Hancock's last week. Two pieces actually: Very dark forest Green and a Rust. Should be able to finish this one tonight as it's not going to be lined. Do need to figure out how much to add to the shoulders though. The one I currently have which was made directly from the pattern is like all patterns on me: Too damn narrow in the shoulders! Also, need to open up the arm holes a bit, but that shouldn't be too difficult :)

Yesterday got started cleaning the back bedroom. It's nice to have floor space and be able to sort through things. I was able to eliminate a couple of boxes. Now, just gotta teach aikidragon How to do this correctly and we'll be set :D
