Well, had fun Friday despite work.

For once, I organized something and people actually came!!! Yay!!! The Group was supposed to meet at 6:00 at the Asiana on Hendersonville Rd. I wound up having to work until 6:00 pm and was late getting to my own gathering...sigh... A total of 27 people showed for dinner, then we jaunted over to the Hollywood theatre for Serenity. Movie was awesome!!! Need to go see it again!!!

After the movie, it was back to work for another half-an-hour. I wound up leaving a new laptop on a users desk with instructions to plug it in to the network and call me on my cell phone when he came to pick it up on Saturday. More on that later...sigh... Next we were off to Morganton to spend the night with shdwkitten and emrys_nc. Next morning, after much ado and my forgetting things, we finally got out of the apartment and headed to faire. It was opening day for the Carolina Renaissance Festival and the first time I believe I've ever made it to opening day of any faire that I wasn't working. We found thalionar and her hubby before we went in and met up for a moment with corbaewench and witchmystic inside. Went by to see Teddy and Becca several times. Caught up with lavender_dragon and Gabby, but somehow missed everyone else. Purchases were few, as we plan on coming back at least twice before faire is over and definitely will be there for both days of Invasion.

After faire, it was back to Morganton with a pit-stop by a Golden Corral for dinner. While there, the guy from work who had picked up the new laptop finally called. As usual, he didn't follow instructions. He had not logged onto it from work, instead he had just taken it home and realized he couldn't log onto it since it wasn't on the network. Said he'd take it back to the office on Sunday and log onto it there and then call me on Monday to set up his e-mail. Claimed he didn't have a power supply for it either. I know there was one in the bag when I dropped the laptop off at his desk. Will have to check on that later.

Got home late Saturday, then was up early on Sunday for a bellydance workshop with Suhaila Salimpour. I thought that the classes would be concerning how to choreograph a drum solo for bellydance and was mildly disappointed that it wasn't. Instead, she taught us the choreography for a drum solo. I got most of it, but there were parts of it that threw me off pretty bad. I did meet up with yodanshadancer at the workshop. Had never met her before and it was in talking about going to the faire on Saturday that we found out who each other is and that we'd seen each others posts here on LJ thanks to sharing anonymisty as a friend.

Was hoping that after class aikidragon and some friends would be there to go see Serenity again, but said friends had no money and we couldn't afford to pay their way. So, it was back to their place for gaming. We left there about 10:00 and I got in bed a little before 11:00. Must have slept funny last night as my back, between my shoulder blades is bothering me this morning.

As for the guy with the laptop, he sent me an e-mail stating that he couldn't get logged onto the laptop yesterday morning when he brought it back over here to try again, but didn't call me for help. Decided he'd take his old broken laptop with him and only use it for checking e-mails.

Well, I'm at work and guess I should try to get something accomplished today. Don't really want to, but such is life.
