I had a decent weekend. Got home late Friday evening, around 7:30. Finished my new overskirt for my wenches outfit around 9:00, then started Debra's tunic. Finished that around 2:15 a.m. Got up at 7:20, took a shower and get ready for the renfaire. Jen and I remembered sunscreen on the bare shoulders, forgot to put it anywhere else. Also, kept forgetting to put on my cavalier hat when we finished fight demos, so my face is very nicely toasted along my forehead, nose and cheeks. Also got roasted from the middle of my forearms down the back of my hands. I did the storytelling thing a couple of times each day. Did sword and shield demos twice each day. Stayed for the concert Saturday night. Gael Warning was pretty good, Julie Glaub was okay but nothing special, Empty Hats and Emerald Rose were spectacular! Can't wait to see Emerald Rose perform for the Serenity Shindig at Dragon Con this year :D Definitely need to do a costume for that one! :D

Concert ended at midnight and I trekked over to [livejournal.com profile] nachtwulf and [livejournal.com profile] silverbec's to retrieve [livejournal.com profile] aikidragon. He'd gone there after the faire since it was our regular gaming night with the Geek Patrol. They were rolling up characters for a 2nd ed. AD&D game that aiki is going to run. Also, got the scoop on what's happening with [livejournal.com profile] nachtwulf. He's been having little mini-heart attacks during the past year or so. He's got 95% blockage in 5 places going into his heart. Yesterday he went in for a Quintuple By-Pass. He's only 39. Doesn't help that he's diabetic either. Update on his surgery is at [livejournal.com profile] silverbec's journal. The short of it is that he came through okay and may get to go home Saturday :)

Anyway, we left there at 2:00 a.m., made a pit stop by the grocery store (we left my car at [livejournal.com profile] nachtwulf's) and arrived home about 3:00 a.m. I got up at 7:00 to make tarts. Had too many people complaining because I wasn't selling them this year to not make at least a few for a select group of people. Was late getting to faire (10:30) but had better sunscreen Sunday. Despite sunscreen the day before, my shoulders did get lightly toasted. Saw a couple of other performers, got more information on the Asheville Storytellers Circle. Bought myself a mask from Brazin' Lady made of Nickle wire. It has a dragon motif and I had the irridescent crystals changed out for green ones. I'll try to get picks of it later to post up. Picked up an Empty Hats CD and [livejournal.com profile] aikidragon bought me a bracelet made of crocheted silver wire and garnets. It's beautiful. After the show, our group headed to Shoneys for dinner. Dinner was good and excellent conversation was had by all. After that we went to ladysnowleopard and [livejournal.com profile] satyrblade's house so I could take a look at some suits ladysnowleopard wants me to alter so they will fit her better. Next, it was back to [livejournal.com profile] nachtwulf's to pick up my car and visit for a few minutes. It wound up being 11:00 when we got home.

All in all, not a bad weekend :)
