Good news, maybe...

Wednesday of last week, I saw an ad at HotJobs for a PC tech at Oak Ridge City Schools.  Since I already have a resume there, I hit the "Apply Now" button.  Thursday morning, I got an e-mail from someone in HR for the school system asking me to go to the school system website and fill out an application.  Did that Thursday evening and it took me two hours to get through their on-line application process!!!  Anyway, haven't heard back from them yet.

Wednesday of this week, I found a job listing at CareerBuilder for a System Support Engineer II with GE, and again, hit the "Apply Now" button.  That sent me straight into the GE application process.  This one only took about an hour, maybe a little longer.  Yesterday, I got an email from someone named Patric telling me that I looked like an excellent candidate for this position and asking me to fill out one more form (once filled out it was a 2 pg doc) and send it back.  Just a few minutes ago, I got a call from Patric stating that he was forwarding my information to the hiring manager as we spoke.  He said I should hear something back late next week if they want me to come in for an interview.  Said that if I don't hear anything by next Friday to give him a call.
