Just got an email stating that I didn't get the job I interviewed for last week.
Tried to apply for a couple of state jobs, but hit a snag. They want you to list the total number of Quarter hours you have of college education, not graduate classes, just undergrad. This would be great if the schools hadn't stopped sending out grades via USPS. I've no idea how many credit hours I have. Called Roane States local office and they were able to give me the MTSU and Roane State hours. Called JBC and they gave me the total hrs I had there. Called UTK, they said it was illegal for them to give that info over the phone and the only way to get it would be to have them print it and mail it to me for $7.50 or I could get it for free if I wanted to drive up to the campus and pick it up. I live 45 minutes from UTK (only because traffic around the college is horrid) and never go to Knoxville unless I'm having to go to several places or Sundays for Warmachine which is an all day trip. Going to see if I can get friend who lives near there to pick the info up for me, as I was told I could do that.
Oh, and it seems I'm stuck in one of those wonderful catch 22's. Everyone wants all these extra certifications, but I can't get them because I'm not working and can't afford them. Oh, and they want database stuff. I've seen some, worked with a few Access databases, but other than installing SQL, I've never really worked with it.
Can we say that I'm getting frustrated with looking for a job...
