Job News, etc...
Feb. 1st, 2008 10:16 amWell, I finally called Roane State since I hadn't heard anything official about an interview yet. Called HR and was told that they had already done some interviews, but they hadn't been through the HR department and HR only found out about them yesterday. Thought it over a bit and just called the lady in charge of CTAT. Got her voicemail and left her a message. Hoping to hear back from her today. If not, I'll be sending an e-mail to Dr. King this evening.
In other news, I'm currently lined up to teach a Power Point class with the CTC in mid-Feb. It's only 7 hrs though.
Also, got a call back from the temp place that called me on Monday. The girl there said that she'd finally heard back from the company she sent my resume to. Seems they've wanted to interview me, but they've been swamped and not had time. She said they were going to call me either today or Monday to set up the interview. I'll believe it when it happens
Oh, and I installed a 400 Gb hard drive in place of my 80 Gb Win2k drive. Put Windows Vista Home Basic on it so I could get used to it in case I get to start teaching it at the CTC. So far, I find the security pop-ups more annoying than anything else. Other than the look and the built-in security stuff, it seems to run pretty much like XP. Can't afford to put together a completely new system for the drive, so for now, just going to swap the cables back and forth between the two drives depending on which one I need to use at the moment.
