Elan was a cluster trip. They seriously need a UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply) on their warehouse. Didn't get done with what I was sent to do thanks to a power outage. Which means that the guys from Elan are finishing it this morning and the temps we hired didn't get the hours they were supposed to. Yes, I did get some painting done on my minis, but as far as work was concerned, I felt the trip a complete bust. Adkins came over Friday evening and brought steaks which he cooked on my new grill. They were delicious! Then we went to Knoxville to pick up some minis and go by the used book store, then it was home and TV until he left around 11:00.
Saturday was a Warmachine/Hordes tourney. Mike, the annoying, won the tourney; Adkins came in second; Danny, who has stopped speaking to us for some reason, took third and Harrison, the kid, took Best Sportsman. I won one of my games, which kept me out of last place. Didn't get home until after 11:00 and the girls were still asleep in the top of my closet where they'd been since I left that morning around 10:30.
Sunday, it was back to Sci Fi City and I got in two more games for the league. Adkins wanted to try out a new warcaster and I guess I'm safe for him to do that against. He claims he was being too cautious, but there were things he could have done that would have won him the game and he purposely didn't to them. Makes me feel like he let me win so it wasn't a satisfying victory at all. Lost against EJ because I couldn't punch through 24 armour on his Skorne.
Cutting back on the spending for the moment as I've got a little over a week left in the month and I've not much money left. Getting paid once a month sucks. I've decided I'm not buying any miniatures this next month. Actually going to try to cut out all spending that isn't required. Meaning, I'll pay bills, put food on my table and gas in my car. Outside of that, going to try to not spend anything.
In other news, this is the first time I've been on LJ since last Tuesday, so if I've missed anything I really need to see comment with a link to the post cause I'm just too tired and don't have the time to go back through all the posts right now.
