Weekend two of the weekend of travel...
May. 11th, 2007 02:38 pmIn some ways, I'm really looking forward to tomorrow, and in others I'm absolutely dreading it. Why? 7:30 a.m. is what time I usually crawl out of bed to get ready for work. Tomorrow, it will be the time I leave for a 10:00 a.m. rehearsal in Johnson City. Rehearsal will last two hours (10:00-1:00) and then I get to drive home. Ah, the things we do for renfaires... It will be nice to see everyone though. These are people who, for the most part, I see once a year at faire. Some I kinda keep in touch with through MySpace, but they rarely post anything.
With his back out, I'm not sure how much I'll see Dave this weekend. I'm guessing he'll be by the house this evening, not sure how long he'll stay. Said he wanted to pick up the flexeril he left there about a month ago. I've used it a few times, but not much. What we both need to do is start stretching in the mornings, and I'm talking a good 30 minutes worth of stretching like we did in Onca's bellydance classes. That helped my back out soooo much and I'm sure it would help Dave's as well.
Work today has been pretty much a waste. I've taken care of a few things, but that's about it. Spent most of the late morning chatting with a friend who, IIRC, lives in Utah. Did get some stuff finished up with my Sound Server, so I can take it home tonight :)
Either I've developed a new allergy that my Flonase doesn't help with, or the generic version has changed and isn't working for me anymore. Been sneezing like mad for the past several days and the allergy medication isn't doing piddly for it. Would go to the doc, but can't afford it right now. Monster cable bill (April and pro-rate for end of March) and having to pay the first two month car insurance right up front ate up all my extra money for the month. I've got just over $100 to live off of until the 31st and that includes gas for two trips to Johnson City. Gas for Wonderfest comes out of my con savings and gas for that trip will be split at least two ways, possibly 3 if Corwin rides with us.
Not much else to chat about at the moment other than wishing I was home working on sewing projects....
