Another quick update...
Feb. 8th, 2007 02:41 pmWell, went with Dave yesterday. He thought he was actually going in for surger, turns out it was only supposed to be a consultation with surgery to happen today. He went back to talk with the doc and because the pain was progressing so quickly, the doc rushed him over to the Same Day Surgery and they started prepping him for surgery right then. Despite the fact that I'm not related to him, they let me register him with the hospital anyway. Surgery went well. Turns out that there was a tear in his umbilical wall and part of the fatty tissue between his intestines and the muscle wall had slipped through the hole and was being constricted. Dave spent the evening and night on Percocet, but still hurt a bit. Last Perc taken was around 11:00 last night. Despite the fact that his doc doesn't want him driving, he decided to go ahead and drive home today anyway. Says he'd already arranged his basement and had things set up ready to do while he recovers from surgery. If he hurts too bad and can't make it home, he said he'd turn around and go back to my place. Otherwise, he was supposed to call me if he made it home. Haven't heard from him yet though.
Also, still haven't heard back on the Imerge job. Assuming at this point that they offered it to someone else. Meant to call yesterday and this morning to check on it, but with everything with Dave completely forgot. Add to this that Dave has started feeding the icing from Domino's Cinnasticks to Fancy. She loves it :) She also loves organic banana baby food and organic applesauce baby food. Been giving those to her as finger treats, ie. dipping the tip of my finger into the food and letting her the food off my finger.
Back at work today. Didn't sleep much last night, so kinda out of it today. Will probably drive up to Dave's this weekend and spend some time with him up there. May take Fancy with me, and just not let his mom know I have her with me as she is afraid of Sugar Gliders. Will have to check my schedule and see when I work this weekend.
