Worried...

So, Adkins has been complaining off and on for several months about pains in his chest, headaches and pains in his abdomen.  I've been bugging him to go see a doc about it, but he kept putting it off until today.  Saturday, while we were moving my stuff into the house, Dave showed me that there was a protrusion into his belly button about the size of a small marble and it was painful when it was pushed upon.  He did let me know that he would be going to the doc today.  He's thought for about a month that it might be a hernia of some sort.  Yesterday morning, he called me to let me know that he'd done some research on his symptoms and it looked like he might have an imbilical hernia.  Today that was confirmed and he's scheduled for outpatient surgery next Monday.  He's also on the cancel list, meaning that if someone cancels this week he can get in at that time.  Yeah, just a bit worried.  I get that way anytime someone I care about goes in for any kind of surgery, and I care about Adkins more than a little bit.

In other news, didn't hear anything back on the job possibility today.  Let Fancy out of her cage without a leash for the first time today.  She climbed all over me, all over the futon, and even played a little in the bathroom while I picked out my hair.  She's staying pretty close to me even without the leash right now, which is good.  Got stuff in the bedroom situated, stuff in the sewing room just about done and finally made some headway on the kitchen this morning/afternoon.  Even found my pots and pans, now if I could just find my towels and wash rags...
