Painting done, for the moment...

So, this morning, I got up and got ready to go.  Started off with the van not wanting to start.  A couple minutes with the battery in direct sunlight and it started.  Took care of a bill with the insurance company, then headed to the house to start painting on the foundation.  Got a little more than halfway done with the foundation and ran out of paint in the first can.  Opened the second can to discover that the guy had brought us a can of black paint instead of white and didn't leave the receipt.  Called him and he said he'd gotten it from Home Depot and that they would exchange it for me.  Went to HD and exchanged the paint and picked up a broom and a quart of hunter green for the back porch.  Finally finished painting the foundation around 2:40 and put out the 3 bags of potting soil I picked up this morning.  That filled all but about 2 ft. of the flower beds.  Around 3:00 I started painting the back porch.  It's a thin coat and will need a second coat, but the 1 quart of paint I bought just barely covered the porch.  Changed clothes and called Alicia because she'd put the box for the key back in the electronic key box.  She informed me that the appraisal guy apparently came by while I was at HD because I never saw him and all the paperwork had apparently been sent on to Alicia and the title company.  Alicia informed me that I'd need to bring a cashiers check for closing tomorrow, but I hadn't been given the updated amount that I would need for closing.  Alicia called the mortgage company and then called me back with the final figure of what I need to bring for the closing.  Got the cashiers check and then got to work.  Alicia actually offered to come get me in her 4-wheel drive vehicle if I can't get out.

Work...well, lets just say I'm taking almost nothing but customer service calls and just got a break a moment ago.  Living on chips until I can get a dinner break...
