Weekend Review

Got up around 8:30, headed to Asheville for what I thought would be our final rehearsal for Mandala Angels. We were to meet at 11:00 a.m. I got there a little late,to find out that one of the other ladies wouldn't be there at all. She had to work, and her work had caused her to miss the previous nights rehearsal as well. So, after 2 hrs. rehearsal, we scheduled another rehearsal for 10:00 a.m. Saturday, just before the Tribal Pura workshop. Came home, fixed some lunch. Knowing I'd not get to make PotC:DMC, I popped PotC:CotBP into the DVD Player and sat down to watch it while stringing elastic into harem pants. Finished the last pair of harem pants (total 13) at 11:00 p.m.
Saturday:
Up early, over the Future of Tradition for MA rehearsal. Things went pretty well. From there, we went to the workshop. Workshop with Tribal Pura started noonish and lasted until 5:45. I did as much as I could, but foot cramps made it difficult sometimes. I'm accustomed to cramps where the toes curl under. Started getting cramps where the toes curl back in the early '90's, but yesterday encountered a new one. During the hour we were working on spins and turns, I started feeling a weird pull in my foot and looked down to see the middle toe on my left foot curling away from the toe to its left and into the toe to its right. Had to put a finger between the two toes to get the mid toe back into place. At that point, started trying to do the spins on my heels. Didn't work too well. Anyway, short break for dinner, then it was getting ready for the show. Went to Vemela's place to get dressed and do make-up. Love Vemela, but that bathroom mirror was just too small for 4 people to use at one time. We were late getting to the performance, but that was okay as we were part of the second act, not the first. All 6 of us in the dance were nervous, but the dance went very well. Was talking to one of our teachers after the show and she only found two real faults with our performance, one was one ladies expression and the other was another lady looking over her shoulder to check something when she was right in front of the audience. I was told that I kept a good smile on my face and that my being up there seemed to come naturally. This made me glow :D Tired and sore, I came home, crawled on the computer for a bit and crashed.
Today:
Up around 9:30, played on the computer a bit, threw some dishes in the dishwasher, some clothes in the was and then headed out to see PotC:DMC. We were heading for 3:15 show, only to discover that it was sold out. This turned out to be good because two of the people who were supposed to be meeting us for the movie were late. We wound up getting tickets for the 3:45 show, aikidragon went ahead and got tickets for the late ones just in case this show sold out as well and then we waited. They didn't show until about 5 minutes before the movie started. Needless to say, we didn't get premium seats, nor did we all get to sit together. I enjoyed the movie. There were a couple of little things about it that just didn't sit well with me, but they didn't distract from the movie that badly. Overall, I loved it and wouldn't mind seeing it again on the big screen :) Currently, at home relaxing. Checking out a few things on-line and chatting with an old friend :)
Tomorrow:
Tripping to Oak Ridge to take care of some business and then spending some time with the 'rents. Will be back Tuesday.
