Life Update
May. 4th, 2006 11:09 amHaven't been on-line much. Haven't read my friends page in almost a week. No, I'm not mad or upset with anyone, just taking a break from the computer. So glad not to be working on computers anymore :)
Been spending my time at home reorganizing the house a little, doing some dishes and laundry and trying to finish the mock-up of
amberblue's corset. Should have that done tomorrow. Will see if I can give her a call this afternoon to set up a meeting time and place for Saturday so I can try everything I've made onto her and see if it fits or if I need to adjust it.
Reorganizing the house so that all my fabric is in one location and easily accessible. Doing the same with the kitchen cabinets. Trying to organize all of the house, but doing it a little at a time so as not to overwhelm myself or
aikidragon. Bought some stuff a week or so ago to get organized and I've used quite a bit of it already. Still have a few things to put into place.
Spent a couple of the first few days off playing a game I'd bought but not really played: Myst IV: Revelation. Will probably wait until next month to try to finish Myst: Uru and then wait another month to do Myst V: End Game. I've got a backlog of games that I've bought and never finished. May spend a few days each month working on those, but not more than a few days as I've too much other stuff to do.
For those of you who read this and do sewing, do you have a preference in dress form brands? I'm looking for a child's dress form and would prefer an adjustable one. The closest I've found I can get from my local Hancock's with a 40% off coupon this weekend, but it would be their Petite form which would fit kids size 7-12. I'd like one for smaller sizes, but not sure where to look. I've done some searching on-line, but not finding any for small children that are adjustable. Any suggestions?
I'll be putting in for a job at the local Eckard's in a few weeks. Probably go for full-time since it would get me insurance and I'd need at least 30-35 hrs. a week to make enough to cover my bills and have a little left over for supplies and myself. Might even be able to salvage the trip to Ireland I was hoping to take with
thelovelylass next year.
Well, time to get off of here and get to work. Will be back on later to check for opinions from the question above. Thanks all :)
