Stayed late a bit at work yesterday to finish up some rollouts. Tried going to my bellydance class by a different route only to discover that I couldn't make one of my turns and then missed the cut-around to get to it. Was late getting to class because of it. Class went well, but they're making some changes that I'll mention in a bit. After class, I started thinking about the fact that my gas tank was empty so headed out to Patton to get gas and go home. Was half-way home when I remembered I was supposed to go to rapier class after bellydance...sigh... Got home, showered and got to bed by my new bed-time, 10:00.
Guess that's okay though. I've been doing far too much and been feeling that I need to cut something out. The need for more sleep during the week requires it. The only thing I feel I can cut without missing it too much is the rapier class. I like it okay, but I'm more into the Sword and Shield than rapier. Add to that, changes that are being made to the bellydance classes would mean that I'd not be getting to rapier until half-an-hour before class is over anyway. If something down the road changes, then I might get back into rapier, but not right now. The heart is truly set on Sword and Shield.
In other news, I want peoples opinions. Not really looking at doing any new costumes for Dragon Con this year, but may finish a couple out or make a few changes depending on ideas. Of costumes that I've done in the past, which do you think I should take for this year? Here's the list for those who haven't seen them before:
Vampire - I've been doing an elegant, but could change this up to be more grungy.
Zatanna, the Magician - From DC Comics, I've done both the Golden Age costume and the current costume
Mystique - will need help with this one as it will require a wig and painting my shoulders/arms, neck and face blue.
Rebecca Fog - from "The Secret Adventures of Jules Verne", Victorian era dress, will require help with the hair.
Aryn Sun - from Farscape, will require new leather pants and holsters for my bolt pistols.
Generic Barbarian - chainmail and fur ensemble
Death - from DC Comics, will require help painting the arms, shoulders neck and face white.
