Conundrum

Is it just me, or do the majority of men never look beyond the surface of anything?

It's been my observation that most guys I've come into contact with do not. You ask them to go get you something, tell them where it's at and if it's not out in plain sight, they can't find it. Numerous times, I asked my ex to bring me something from the table in the living room. He'd come back saying either it wasn't there or he couldn't find it. I'd go look for it and the only reason he couldn't find it was because it had a sheet of paper or a book sitting on top of it. It's as though it was beyond him to move anything on the table to find something that was there.

I've come across the same thing with my male co-workers and other guys I've dealt with. Just makes me wonder if it is something to do with the gender or if I've just run across the truly unobservant and/or lazy lot.

Just an observation.

Finally getting some stuff done at work. The boss brought a crew up here on Tuesday and we cleared a lot of junk out of our work area. I'm looking at completely re-arranging the work area, including moving my office computer into the work area and getting out of the glass bubble that is our office. We'll be putting my work computer and the ghost server on a KVM switch as well as setting up 2 KVM (Keyboard/Video/Mouse) switches for the work area. That way, I only have to deal with two sets of peripherals instead of six (one set per computer). It'll be nice once it's completely set up, but we're still working on getting there. Still gotta long way to go in getting the work area cleaned up. Getting rid of old computers and printers that still work, but aren't worth keeping (P200's/300's/333's), dead printers are going to the compactor, and still have to go through the software room and clean it out. And before anyone asks, they may be donating the working stuff to someplace or they may have an auction. As yet, I've no clue on which nor when it will happen. As long as it's leaving my area, I don't care what happens to it :)

Well, gotta get back to work.
