Well, this weekend just flew by. Mine started on Thursday evening when I drove over to
aikidragon's and the snow didn't start until I was pulling onto the road where he lives. He was at a party, so I spent the evening playing Everquest.
Friday, he went to work and I had a job interview at Client Logic. Well, they called it an interview, but I'm not sure what to call it. I'd been told during the telephone interview that this sit down interview could take as long as 3 hrs., so I went in prepared to be there for a while. They took me back and sat me down in front of a computer and gave me three tests on-line. This took me just under an hour to complete. Once the test was done they said one of their HR people would come talk to me. That talk consisted of introducing themselves and making sure I hadn't had any problems with the test, telling me that I'd done well on them and that they would probably be back in touch with me during the next couple of weeks. Total time on this "interview" = 1 hr. 15 minutes.
Okay, this whole process seemed a bit odd to me. I, for the most part, talked to no one. There was no "interview". Just not sure I'm comfortable with it. I'm hoping for the best, but for some reason I'm just not sure about it. The whole thing was just so impersonal and, I guess, since it didn't take so long and since some of the things I'd been told would happen didn't, felt it was incomplete, aborted before it was even really started. Maybe I'm just paranoid, but it bugs me.
Most of the rest of the afternoon was spent running around the mall before going out with
aikidragon when he got off from work. Dinner was good, but I got really sleepy afterward and we skipped out on the movie we were going to go see.
Saturday got off to a late start. A good portion of that day was spent running around checking on stuff before we went to MC for the game. MC was caught up in the Carolina football game, so nothing else was done until the football game was over. Then it was back to errands before the RPG started. Once we got started, the game went pretty well. We were able to wrap up several storylines, but didn't get out of the game until 2:00 a.m.
Sunday was more errands and giving
silverbec a ride to Sylva. She needed to meet her Mom there to pick up a car. Her Mom ran late, so we drove down to Dillberry (sp?) and then over to WCU and back. It was a nice drive and I really enjoyed the company. After this, we finally got to go home. This was the first time we'd had all weekend for just us. I got on-line and checked e-mail and played some EQ while
aikidragon took a nap. Nice quiet evening at home :)
This morning, it was the drive back to work. Going to try spending this week at my brothers. It'll save me some gas money and allow me to spend some time with my niece :) Hope this works out. Things went well at my parents last week, but I don't want to stay there too much. When I'm there for too long fights break out between Mom and I. Well, here's hoping this is a good week.
